Annual Walk for Freedom
The annual Animals Asia Walk for Freedom event takes place again this July. The three mile sponsored circular walk around Peatmoor Lagoon and Shaw Forest will begin at 11am on Sunday.
Walkers are urged to come along with your friends, family and dogs and help raise money for the Swindon Animals Asia Support Group’s new campaign, Adopting Florence a Nanning Bear.
Animals Asia need all the help they can get as they have just taken over a bear farm in Nanning, China where 130 bears have been kept in terrible conditions for many years and been milked for their bile.
They are now in the process of converting the farm into a sanctuary and we encourage people to join our Walk for Freedom and start making a difference.
The Swindon Group is working in partnership with We Love Pets, a dog walking, pet boarding and dog sitting company in Swindon.
The walk costs £10 per person to register and children go free.
Sponsorship forms are also available if people would like to collect more.
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to register and find out more details about the charity and its work.
